MADONNA CALLED ‘MORALISING SLUT’ BY RUSSIAN DEPUTY PRIME MINISTER

This is not her Madgesty's week. For the second time this week, Madonna has endured a verbal public assault, this time by Russian deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin.

According to The Guardian, Rogozin branded the material girl a 'moralising slut' via Twitter after she supported jailed female punk band Pussy Riot during her Moscow concert earlier in the week."With age, every former s. tries to lecture everyone on morality," Rogozin tweeted late Wednesday, using the first letter of the Russian word for "slut" or "whore". "Especially during overseas tours."He also told the queen of pop to 'Either take off your cross, or put on your knickers.'Madonna was in Moscow earlier in the week as part of her international MDNA tour. While in the Russian capital, the singer opened a new branch of her Hard Candy gym chain. She openly supported "Pussy Riot" band members at the event, telling the gathered media that she their potential jail sentence was a "tragedy" and that "art should never be censored".

Dmitri Rogozin took to Twitter to slur Madonna after she supported Russian political prisoners Pussy Riot.

When performing in Moscow on Wednesday, the 'Girl Gone Wild' singer also revealed the words "Pussy Riot" scrawled on her back during the 'Like a Virgin' segment of her concert, donning a trademark Pussy Riot balaclava whilst she sang the iconic song.The band's members, Nadezhda Tolokonnikova, Maria Alyokhina and Yekaterina Samutsevich, are in the second week of their Moscow trial, facing charges of hooliganism after they stormed the altar of a church, singing an anti-Putin "punk prayer" in protest of the country's President. If sentenced, the women face three years in jail.Earlier this week, a scathing interview with Elton John for TV show 'Sunday Night' went viral, indicating that the pair's long running rivalry was far from over, as the flamboyant singer labelled Madonna a "f**king fairground stripper" and said that her 'career is over'.Related Video: Elton v.
