Wowsers! That's two major female pop acts announcing local tours in as many days!

First Madonna's world tour is announced, with Her Madge-sty coming to town on tour early next year, and now, the other holy grail of modern pop, Lady Gaga, will also be making her way down under to tour.

Called the 'Born This Way Ball,' Gaga (aka Mother Monster to fans) will kick off in South Korea in late April, travelling the world extensively. 110 tour dates have been confirmed, of which the first 11 have been announced.

Australia and New Zealand will be amongst the first in the world to experience her new world tour, with her first show in the region in NZ on June 7 this year, and her first Aussie show in Brisbane on June 13. Last time Lady Gaga was in the country, she converted the Sydney Town Hall into Sydney Monster Hall in an exclusive money-can't-buy show for her fans.

Gaga has spent the last 48 hours teasing her fans with her impending tour details, first tweeting a drawing of the new stage design for the tour, then a tour poster (of her otherworldly alter-ego) and finally the first confirmed tour dates.

"The Haus of Gaga and I have worked for months conceiving a spectacular stage," said Mother Monster. "THE BORN THIS WAY BALL is an Electro-Metal Pop-Opera; the tale of the Beginning, the genesis of the Kingdom of Fame. How we were birthed and how we will die celebrating."

The Born This Way Ball will encompass songs from three of her albums, "Born This Way," "The Fame" and the "Fame Monster."

Fans loved her first international tour - 'The Monster Ball' - so much, that the Pollstar Concert Industry Awards named it the Major Tour of the Year.

In 2011 Lady Gaga was named Forbes' Most Powerful Woman in the World, and also made the Time's list of 100 most influential people in the world in 2010. Knowing her audience (that of young, social media savvy popsters), Gaga (real name Stephanie Joanne Germanotta) has taken the internet by storm, amassing over 2.2 billion views of her videos online, over 47 million Facebook fans and over 19 million Twitter followers.

we don't need her here to come and bastardize the good upbringing of Aussie Kids. She is no good to the future of humanity. I wish I was the foreign minister, the Great Kevin Rudd to bar her entrance to Australia. For the sake of money, these show promoters can do anything.

More manufactured rubbish to pollute our brains. While real hard working musicians haven't got a chance of being heard.
