Mariah Carey vs. Madonna

While in London to promote her 1995 album 'Daydream', Mariah was asked to respond to alleged verbal attacks from Madonna that said Carey was not "particularly bright" and that the 'Like A Virgin' singer would "rather kill myself than be Mariah." Carey appeared to find the question amusing and quipped, "I really haven't paid much attention to Madonna since I was in the 7th or 8th grade and she used to be popular, so I didn't hear that."
