I can't even type what Prince had been known as in the 90s, but for the sake of ease, everyone referred to the musician as "The Artist Formally Known As Prince". The symbol that was his name, which was a fancy merging of the male (♂) and female (♀) symbols, was also called "Love #2". While Prince certainly doesn't mind making things difficult for journalists and record labels, he eventually reverted back to Prince in the 2000s. Note: Prince is actually his birth name!

Even after having their names emblazoned across album covers, charts, billboards and news headlines, they sure don't flinch much when it comes to a name change. With rapper Snoop Dogg recently taking on his Rasta incarnation Snoop Lion, let's take a look at just some of the other artists who've made the big switch!
