Diddy's #1 sidekick, late rapper The Notorious B.I.G., born Christopher Wallace, started out by recording a demo as Biggie Smalls--a childhood nickname given to him for his both tall and large frame. He soon found out the name was being used by someone else, so the rapper changed to The Notorious B.I.G. in 1992.
