No Doubt in 1996: No Doubt was signed in 1990 but things didn't go well. One of the founders left in 1994, and Gwen Stefani and her boyfriend/bandmate ended a 7-year relationship. But the painful breakup made music gold: they had several hits on "Tragic Kingdom" (1995) and it also made Rolling Stone's "Greatest Albums of All Time."
