No Doubt was signed in 1990 but things didn't go well. One of the founders left in 1994, and Gwen Stefani and her boyfriend/bandmate ended a 7-year relationship. But the painful breakup made music gold: they had several hits on "Tragic Kingdom" (1995) and it also made Rolling Stone's "Greatest Albums of All Time."
In 2003, the band decided to take a hiatus from music. Gwen Stefani explored a solo career and fashion. She married Bush frontman Gavin Rossdale in 2002 and they have two sons. At the end of last year No Doubt released their first single "Settle Down" from their new album "Push and Shove".
