Creed were one of those post-grungey pop bands that pretended to be like Pearl Jam which were huge in the late 90s and early 00s. Their Waterloo was a concert in 2002 where the performance was so bad that fans not only left, they sued. The court papers alleged that lead singer Scott Stapp was so "intoxicated and/or medicated that he was unable to sing the lyrics of a single Creed song." Stapp actually had to lie down and roll around on the stage at various points during the show. The band were largely unapologetic, later telling fans in a press release that they had been treated to "the most unique of all Creed shows." Maybe this was the death knell for the band, who broke up a year later (unfortunately for audiences they have since re-formed).
