STILL TOGETHER: LONG-STANDING BANDS OF ROCK

THE ROLLING STONES: 50 YEARS
On July 12, 1962, a little-known rock band was to perform their first show ever at the Marquee Club in London. Back then, they were known as The Rollin' Stones, but 50 years later, you would know them as The Rolling Stones. To celebrate their 50 years together, The Stones released the following statement: "This is our story of 50 fantastic years... We started out as a blues band playing the clubs and more recently we've filled the largest stadiums in the world with the kind of show that none of us could have imagined all those years ago." A photographic exhibit will also be launched at Somerset House in London to commemorate their 50 years in the music industry.
