TONI BASIL 'MICKEY'

You may not know this, but the Mickey in the relentlessly cheery song of the same name is rumoured to be the Monkees' Mickey Dolenz who caught Toni Basil's eye. HEY MICKEY! Toni would have a number one hit in the US and UK with 'Mickey' in 1982 but despite having one of the biggest hits of the decade couldn't ever manage a repeat performance.
