This is the one hit wonder that almost wasn't. Meredith Brooks reportedly came close to leaving this track off her album because of the 'B' word. Luckily for us she left it on there so it could go on to become an angsty/empowering late 90's pop hit that tapped into the wave of female singers in the mold of Alanis Morrissette.
