KRIS KROSS 'JUMP'
These pint-sized adolescent stars had a huge hit on their hands when they released 'Jump' in 1992. It would become the fastest selling single in 15 years and stayed at number one on the Billboard 100 for 8 weeks. Their gimmick, much replicated by cool kids in playgrounds across the nation, was to wear their jeans (or occasionally overalls) backwards. Kris Kross would soon fade into obscurity but their 18-year-old producer Jermaine Dupri would go on win a grammy and date Janet Jackson.
