The 'Dreamgirls' triplethreat was given the honour of singing the stars and stripes national anthemn at the 2009 SuperBowl, but it was later revealed that her stirring rendition was in fact pre-recorded. Like Whitney Houston and Faith Hill before, singers at the SuperBowl were requested to lipsynch by Rickey Minor, the pregame show producer who reasoned that "There's too many variables to go live."
