Teen pop exploded in America in the new millenium and the Backstreet Boys were right at the forefront of this mainstream pop wave which included Britney Spears and rival boyband, N'Sync. BSB as they were otherwise known, enjoyed huge international success with over 130 million records sold worldwide . Three years later though, they rebanded and topped the charts again with 'Never Gone' in 2006.
