While desperately trying to cash-in on their fading stardom by announcing a joint tour, KISS and Motley Crue chose the occasion to hit out at successful current acts, most notably Rihanna. KISS frontman Gene Simmons said "We're sick and tired of girls getting up there with dancers and karaoke tapes in back of them. No fake bulls**t ... Leave that to the Rihanna, Shmianna and anyone who ends their name with an A."

Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee also chipped in his two cents "It's f***ing pathetic to watch people go out and f***ing karaoke with a bunch of lights and video."

Some people will say anything to get a little free publicity!
