WATCH: Justin Bieber wanted for questioning
TMZ.com has reported that the case will be "referred to the L.A. County D.A. for possible criminal prosecution." That is -- Justin could likely face misdemeanour battery charges after reportedly fighting with a photographer while on a date with girlfriend Selena Gomez at a shopping mall in Calabasas, California on Sunday.
While the pap was taken to a hospital by ambulance and later filed a police report naming The Biebs as his attacker, eye witness reports suggest that he actually blocked Justin's vehicle from leaving AND that a lawyer on the scene told him to call the cops and press charges as he could make money out of the incident.

Los Angeles attorney Mychal Wilson spoke to Hollywood Life about Justin's case and suggested that while a misdemeanour battery case in California carries a maximum six-month jail sentence and $2,000 fine, The Biebs was likely to get probation in a worst case scenario due to his lack of priors.
The investigation is still currently in process, with police wanting to interview The Biebs, who is now on tour in Norway.
