Given the 1D boys sold out their three-date "Up All Night" 2012 Australian tour in three minutes, a full arena tour of Australia in 2013 seemed like a no-brainer for the British boy band. Also given the apparent lack of self-restraint by a large proportion of the teenage female population in the country, as well as the boys' abundant admiration for Aussie ladies of all ages, we always knew the 1D boys would be back.WIN a 'Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol' prize pack worth $1,000'

British cuties Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson will kick off their 2013 world tour in the UK and US before hitting our shores. They'll start off in Brisbane on September 13, 2013 and work their way down to Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide before heading west to finish up with two shows in Perth (full dates can be found at the bottom of the article).Tickets for the One Direction tour go on sale on Saturday April 28 at 10am local times, except for the Perth fans whose tickets will go on sale in late May/early June. And in case you wanted to buy out the entire arena to have their undivided attention (we wouldn't put it past some Directioners), tickets are maxed out at four per person. On a positive note, a quick scan of their Aussie tour dates shows gaps between most of their shows, especially the Sydney and Melbourne shows (three whole days to be exact, with the same again between Melbourne and Adelaide dates). This means they've left themselves room for additional shows to be added to the tour dates to allow for over-whelming demand -- and we know there will be ultra-super-dooper-extreme over-whelming demand for these shows. So we can hear you asking "How on earth can I buy 1D tickets?" Our tip is be prepared, be very prepared! The boys sold out their UK show immediately -- a whopping 300,000 tickets in one day -- as well as selling out the US May/June leg of their tour 2013 in minutes. Madison Square Garden tickets in New York disappeared in ten minutes. So in saying be very prepared, you can sign up to Ticketek's waitlist to get presale notification
, and you can also find out more tour info at the 1D website
.So now that we know the 1D boys will be back next year, we can do a quick re-cap of the 1D mania that has swept the country.

First there was the 'Sunrise'/Martin Place appearance, which saw roads around the studio get cut-off due to hordes of screaming Directioners with inappropriate fan signs
. Off the back of this, a half-eaten piece of Niall's Vegemite toast from 'Sunrise' was put on eBay, reaching bids of $100,000 (and proceeds going to charity).Over-whelming demand choked any and all competitions to see the boys' sold-out "Up All Night" shows and/or win meet-and-greets with the boys. One pair of 15-year-old girls in Melbourne even hired out a double-decker bus and converted it a dedicated 1D bus shrine
, and still didn't even rate a mention in a 1D shrine competition to win tickets to an exclusive rooftop performance in Sydney. Then there were the ladies. While teenage girls were busy throwing anything and everything at the 1D boys to get their attention (including reportedly themselves into the harbour while the boys enjoyed a day on the water), the lads were busy attempting to pick up a number of Aussie ladies. One 20-year-old receptionist at NovaFM in Sydney received hate mail and threats
after Zayn, 18, got her number while visiting the radio station. Harry, also 18 and known for his taste in the older ladies, unsuccessfully attempted to pick up a 25-year-old female journalist who also happened to be engaged. And these are just the reported skirt-chasing episodes. Related Video: One Direction date request turned down by Sydney receptionist
Finally there were the actual shows. We'll quietly admit to a sense of curiosity, accepting media passes to see the boys live in concert at Sydney's Hordern Pavillion last Friday night. And what a strange experience it was. All the boys were solid performers, with good vocal abilities and passable on stage movements. The subtle seasonal theme and Twitter integration was also ok, despite feeling manufactured. The screaming, crying, hyper-ventilating girls that required the use of ear plugs of OH&S reasons was not. We'll take a punt and say these boys are to this generation what Hanson was to my generation, and the Beatles to our parent's generation. So the real question is -- are you prepared for another One Direction onslaught?Related Video: Introducing One DirectionFULL ONE DIRECTION 2013 AUSTRALIAN TOUR DATES
