In retaliation, the singer flipped the bird, but almost immediately after apologised.
Speaking at the winners conference she said: "Can I just say sorry for swearing?
"I flung the middle finger at the suits, not the fans, I want people to know that.
"Sorry if I offended anyone, but the people in suits offended me. I wasn't swearing at the fans, but I didn't get to complete my thank you speech!"

Adele flipped the bird at the BRIT show organisers who cut off her acceptance speech.
BRITs presenter James Corden was given the awful task of cutting Adele off because the live show was overrunning and Blur needed to begin their 11 minute set.
He look mortified as he said: "I'm so so sorry, I can't believe I'm going to do this..."
A somewhat stunned Adele replied: "Oh alright, I'm sorry and I'll see you this time next year!"
She followed this with a one fingered salute to the cameras echoing M.I.A's hand gesture during her performance at the Super Bowl with Madonna and Nicki Minaj.

As soon as she could Adele made very clear she was aiming her hand towards the 'suits' and not her fans.
She said she was thrilled to win two awards on home soil: "I'm over the moon to win these awards, they are so important to me.
"Selling 20 million albums goes over my head.
"When I performed at Shepherds Bush, I just think all the people there own it."
With some serious swagger and silverware, the star swelled up with British pride adding:
"I'm more British than anyone else here! I'm very much a London girl.
"You can't get more British then me. I'm never going to leave, I'll always stay."

Primitive ugly Fat Pommy trash????????????
Reply@Sanon. Would rather listen to her voice than yours.
ReplyManufactured trash. Are people not sick of manufactured entertainment yet?
ReplyFat, ugly hag. Makes my skin crawl.
ReplyYeah, the suits all the people who go to the effort of running these awards shows. The camera crews, the stage hands, the directors, the guys running the lighting, the people coming after her, etc. She shows little respect. But if celebrity culture teaches us anything, people like Adele are beyond the rules that mere mortals have to run with. Bit sad and childish really.
ReplyWell done, Adele !
ReplyI would have done the samed too rude barsteds!! Ron your comment is so pathetic if it weren't for the fans she wouldn't be receiving these awards. The least they desereve is a thank you.

ReplyDon't know why they always feel the need to apologise. It's just the bird. She made it clear it wasn't at the fans, that's all we need to know. Beautiful singer. "See you this time next year" classic!
