American Idol winner Jordin Sparks celebrated her birthday by getting herself tattooed. The singer turned 18 at the end of last year and decided to have her brother Phillippi's initials and her favourite bible verse etched on her.

She now has 'PJ' tattooed behind her left ear and 'Timothy 4:12' on her wrist. She admits the verse is very important to her: "It says 'Don't let anyone look down on you because you're young, and instead set an example in life, faith, speech and purity. It's a daily reminder. I like it." (wenn)
