Amy Winehouse is refusing to check into rehab, even after a drink and drug binge left her hospitalised last week - insisting she just needs her dad to help her recover.

The Back To Black singer was rushed into hospital in London last Wednesday after collapsing following a three-day session.

After recovering with husband Blake Fielding-Civil and her family at an English country hotel, the singer has told press all she needs to get back on track is time with her father Mitch.

She says, "When I get destructive I just need to spend time with my dad. Rehab is a cop-out."

And dad Mitch agrees, adding, "Amy's going to be fine. She knows she's been through a terrible ordeal and is now on the mend." (wenn)
